What will you do in this role?

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) role is a key go-to-market (GTM) owner for Sikich. The SAM is the commercial owner of a set of key upper mid-market accounts and will be responsible for selling all Sikich service lines into these accounts.

  • Primary responsibility for developing new business within the existing predominantly Microsoft Dynamics client base.
  • Monitor and maintain a high level of client satisfaction and renewal rates
  • Coordinate with solutions delivery team leveraging their knowledge to tailor solutions that fit the broadest needs of the prospect organizations.
  • Using above average communication skills, quickly assesses maximum opportunity value and determines when it is appropriate to engage Sales Management to close large transactions.
  • Develops annual Territory Plans to ensure attainment of quota and other role-based imperatives.
  • Develops annual Account Plans to ensure alignment and great execution with all team members.
  • Drives profitable revenue growth year over year in assigned accounts. Meets and exceeds monthly and annual revenue goals by executing an account growth strategy.
  • Tracks and maintains all account activity in the company CRM system.
  • Provides input into pricing, positioning and strategy within assigned industry verticals and geographic markets.
  • Provides sales forecasts and other reports to manager as required
What do you need to succeed in this role?
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience and 10+ years sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment, preferably in the Microsoft Partner Channel.
  • An understanding of the Microsoft Solution Stack and experience selling multi-workload projects.
  • Proven ability to carry a multi-account Territory with quotas exceeding $10M
  • Ability to operate within a sales culture of accountability.
  • Exceptional integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
  • Ability to execute in a fast moving and demanding customer paradigm.
  • Background in sales, consulting, and/or account management.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Highly organized and able to stay on target while performing a variety of critical short, medium and long-term tasks daily.
