Overview
Part-Time Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) – Urgent Care – Emma Vet in Alexandria, VA, provides Gold Standard Veterinary and Urgent Care since 2018. We offer full Primary Care services Monday through Friday, with dedicated Urgent Care available seven days a week from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Our team includes DVMs specializing in general practice, feline medicine, and surgery, led by a Practice Owner and Hospital Manager.
We emphasize collaboration, mentorship, and a growth-focused culture. This position is a part-time Urgent Care LVT role in a fast-paced, clinical environment.

Compensation: $35 - $38 per hour. Sign-on Bonus: $1500.

Schedule:- Thursday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Friday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM

Hours:- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- Saturday–Sunday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- Provide high-quality nursing care to urgent and emergency patients
- Assist veterinarians with diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and monitoring of patients
- Accurately document patient care and communicate with the medical team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area
- Support excellent client communication during urgent care visits
- Current Virginia Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential required
- Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine preferred (but not required)
- Strong technical, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-pressure situations
- Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
