At Emma Vet, you will engage in a diverse and challenging medical caseload. We provide full Primary Care services Monday through Friday, complemented by dedicated Urgent Care available seven days a week from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. This schedule ensures continuity of care and a variety of patient needs, allowing you to utilize skills in pet wellness, prevention, testing and diagnostics, and advanced surgical procedures.
We proudly offer comprehensive care for routine needs as well as critical situations, ensuring that not every pet emergency needs to be treated at a 24-hour ICU or specialty center.

Job Description
Emma Vet is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our Urgent Care team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and compassionate technician who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical environment.
Compensation:$35 - $38
Sign on Bonus - $1500

Saturday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM

Saturday–Sunday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality nursing care to urgent and emergency patients
Assist veterinarians with diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and monitoring of patients
Accurately document patient care and communicate with the medical team
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area
Qualifications:
Current Virginia Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential required
Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine preferred (but not required)
Strong technical, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-pressure situations
Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
