Registered Nurse; RN Operating Room; Weekends

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to join our team. This position offers a Weekend Differential Premium! Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign-on & relocation bonuses.

Position schedule:
Fulltime 3/12hr Weekend shifts (7am - 7pm). Schedule will be Saturday, Sunday and Monday or Friday. Training to take place during the weekdays prior to transferring to Weekend shift.

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based upon assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
• Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions.
• Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel and acts as a resource to resolve issues.
• Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients' learning needs.

• Experience: Requires a minimum of 1 year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Education: BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• License: Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
• Certification: Basic Life Support with American Heart Association.

• Strong scrubbing background
• Experienced in Trauma, Neuro, Ortho, Robot & Vascular cases
• Circulating and scrubbing experience
• AORN's Periop 101 curriculum completion and/or CNOR
