Registered Nurse; RN Endoscopy

Overview

Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for an experienced Full-time Endoscopy Nurse to join its dynamic team.

• Schedule is 4X10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, ; rotating late calls, weeknights, weekends and holiday on call.
• Endoscopy Lab has 4 endoscopy suites, performing procedures including Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Endo Bariatric procedures, Endoscopic Ultrasound, Bronchoscopy and Interventional Pulmonology.
• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through understanding of patients, families, nurses and healthcare delivery teams.
• Deliver safe, holistic, and patient-centered care; incorporate diverse patient needs across the continuum of care, including patient and family education.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with other clinical disciplines; respect and value team contributions.
• Apply an integrated approach to achieve desired patient outcomes while supporting patient empowerment and high-quality clinical outcomes within financial and care quality considerations.

• Minimum 1 year of OR, Endoscopy, PACU or Critical Care (ICU/ED) nursing experience.
• Education:
  
  BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate Degree (ADN), must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
• BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required at hire; ACLS for Healthcare Providers must be completed within 90 days of hire.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• RN with at least 2 years of prior Endoscopy, ICU or ED nursing experience.
