Registered Nurse (RN) Medical‑Surgical – Inova Health

Location: Inova Mount Vernon Hospital, Medical‑Surgical Unit.

Position Summary: Full‑time day shift RN seeking to advance career in medical‑surgical nursing at a nationally recognized healthcare provider.

• Perform patient assessments and follow written plans of care.
• Organize, prioritize, and deliver patient care using Inova’s Nursing Professional Practice Model.
• Document patient care activities accurately.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings.
• Engage in learning sessions for the RN Fellowship; complete assignments on time.
• Serve as a preceptor after orientation and competency completion (if applicable).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• BSN from an accredited nursing school (or ADN with BSN completion within 5 years).
• Minimum 1 year of RN clinical experience; LTC, Rehab, Home Health, and Outpatient experience are considered.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia, or an active multi‑state RN license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Work schedule:
  
  12‑hour day shift (7 am–7 pm).

Annual salary range: $80,541 – $125,564.
