Reporting to the Principal of Not-for-Profit Tax, the Senior Manager:

• Contribute to shaping practice strategy, including resource planning, process improvements, and team capabilities
• Partner closely with practice and firm leadership to shape service delivery, strengthen market presence, and support strategic growth initiatives within the Notfor Profit tax practice
• Guide broader team development, helping team members expand their technical skills and leadership abilities, and fostering a culture of continuous learning
• Identify and pursue new client opportunities, including participating in prospect conversations and supporting proposal development
• Serve as a trusted advisor to nonprofit executives and boards, offering proactive guidance on tax strategies, evolving regulations, operational impacts, complex tax matters such as UBIT, public support testing, and charitable contribution requirements
• Lead the preparation and review of federal and state tax filings for exempt organizations, including Forms 990, 990T, and 990PF
• Interpret and apply evolving tax law to unique nonprofit issues, staying current on developments impacting the exempt organization sector

• BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• MST (or willingness to obtain) preferred
• CPA or EA certification required (or in-progress towards certification)
• 7+ years of current public accounting experience
• Proficiency with computerized tax software and MS Office
• Strong client rapport and project management skills
• Supervisory experience
• Flexible schedule
• Ability to service multiple client engagements simultaneously
• Strong communication (verbal and written) skills with the emphasis on ability to articulate complex tax and financial information to all levels of clients

In compliance with this state s pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the salary range for this role is $179,074. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
