Overview

Hugonet is seeking to recruit a Project Manager (PM) to join a team of talented consultants providing professional services to the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS). The ideal candidate understands the PPBE cycle and values collaboration. This position will work as part of a team to develop high-level briefings and data visualizations for senior-level officials.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the service delivery of the project including complex and time-sensitive deliverables.
  • Identify, gather, and organize financial management data, reports, exhibits, process maps, and narratives using standard Microsoft Office tools and Power BI. Review client-provided data to ensure complete and accurate data sets.
  • Advise on financial management related content, including but not limited to the DoD PPBE process and budget formulation and execution processes and tasks.
  • Conduct and facilitate sessions/workshops/interviews with stakeholders to gather details on processes and activities.
  • Synthesize information to draft executive summaries and narrative reports. Identify gaps in information and collaborate with client stakeholders to complete and approve drafts.
  • Review, revise, and edit deliverables, including presentations, briefings, memos, and facilitation materials.
  • Keep leadership abreast of project execution and any issues (e.g., technical problems, project delays) that may impact achievement of client requirements/deliverables or that may exceed defined scope of work.
  • Establish the framework, standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and quality control mechanisms to support client requirements.
  • Supervise a team providing analytical, technical, and communication functions in support of various client initiatives.
  • Maintain a financial schedule and monitor project budget.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate is an experienced project manager that possesses strong business acumen and strategic awareness. Specifically, the ideal candidate will be familiar with, and have experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience leading a contractor team in the successful delivery of a complex contract or task order to include managing financials and burn plans; managing staffing (interviewing, hiring and supervising employees); and building strong client relationships.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. Ability to facilitate stakeholder meetings and interviews.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a newly formed team to deliver results.
  • Understanding of PPBE and knowledge of Government FM functions, such as the budget process, financial systems, audit, accounting, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to synthesize information and draft summaries and reports.
  • Experience in working with Senior Executives in the Government, preferably DoD.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to adapt quickly in a rapid, changing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is required.

Education and Experience: This position requires seven (7) years of relevant professional experience. Experience working in or directly for DoD is strongly preferred. This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. PMP certification is preferred.

Clearance: This position requires an active SECRET security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Location: This position is located at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.
