Position SummaryThe Business Analyst will be responsible for improving business processes and aligning enterprise systems—including Salesforce, Net Suite, Magento—with organizational goals. Reporting to the Director of IT, this role will serve as a key connector between technical teams and operational staff, supporting system enhancements, identifying inefficiencies, and helping ensure scalable, efficient practices across departments. The Business Analyst will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to translate business needs into actionable system solutions and serve as a driver of cross-platform alignment.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:- Work closely with teams across departments to understand business goals, pain points, and system requirements
- Map current and future-state business processes to identify areas of improvement and standardization
- Translate business needs into functional specifications or user stories that developers and system admins can act on
- Serve as the liaison between operational staff and technical teams to ensure solution alignment
- Help prioritize system enhancements with current stack (Salesforce, Net Suite, Magento, and related tools) and guide platform evolution
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on business processes, functional requirements, and platform configurations
- Support data consistency and process alignment across enterprise systems
- Contribute to user training, testing, and change management related to new features or system upgrades
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions and recommend refinements as needed
- Ability to dive deep into highly focused tactical projects while consistently reframing them in the larger context of our strategic goals and critical business processes.
- Support the organization’s growth by aligning platform capabilities with operational needs
- Foster a culture of cross-functional collaboration and data-informed decision-making
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Operations, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or process improvement
- Hands-on experience with at least two of the following:
Salesforce, Net Suite, Magento (or similar CRM, ERP, eCommerce), Fundraise Up, Jot Form, Dot Digital - Strong skills in process mapping, functional documentation, and business case development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project methodologies preferred
- Experience with data reporting tools like Power BI, Excel, or Tableau is a plus

$94,000 – $100,000 annually
Note:
Compensation is based on a candidate's experience, skills, education, and geographic location. This range is based on Washington, D.C.–Maryland–Virginia (DMV) market data; offers to candidates outside this area will reflect local market data.
Hybrid, based in our Old Town Alexandria, VA office (minimum of two days per week with Tuesday as an anchor day)
