CRI has an immediate need for an experienced Video Management System (VMS) Engineer
. Qualified candidates will possess at least 3-5 years of experience with analog and digital camera systems. This position requires utilization of experience, background, and education related to IP and analog video, deployed surveillance systems, and cameras to provide troubleshooting and support for field users around the globe.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide top-notch support to our Federal government customers
- Providing excellent troubleshooting skills, able to diagnose, reproduce and analyze issues to solve problems effectively and efficiently, by logical deduction and thorough process of elimination.
- Providing collaborative troubleshooting with tier 2 support. Participate and assist in developing training materials to assist in additional communication of troubleshooting steps for resolution of production issues.
- Troubleshooting and configuring industry standard network equipment and camera equipment
- Participate in relevant meetings, briefings, discussions, and working group sessions.
- Possessing oral and written communication skills to correspond effectively with a variety of people including upper management and field personnel.
- In coordination with the technical writing team, developing instructional documentation to support autonomous field troubleshooting.
- Providing testing support of new releases of VMS software to support field operations
- Support will be conducted onsite in Alexandria, VA (Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, able to diagnose, reproduce and analyze issues to solve problems effectively and efficiently, by logical deduction and thorough process of elimination.
- Five years or more of work related experience in computer and network systems administration and support, particularly in design and deployment and/or five years’ experience in video surveillance systems, security cameras and IP based video surveillance technology, both software and hardware.
- IT proficiencies and a technical background or experience in network configuration, administration, engineering, support or related course work including: IP addressing and troubleshooting, and with IP protocols and NAT router configurations; firewall rules and VLAN''s.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, able to diagnose, reproduce and analyze issues to solve problems effectively and efficiently, by logical deduction and thorough process of elimination.
- Organized self-starters who work well in a dynamic team are ideal for this opportunity.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Routers, Switches, VPN’s, etc.)
