Position SummaryThis position is responsible for the detailed management of D365 Business Central (D365 BC) implementation projects. Key responsibilities include weekly project management reporting, weekly client status calls, client project kick off meetings, internal and client-facing communication of project status. This role works closely with the D365 BC Development team to track and report on technical aspects of implementations and collaborates with functional team members to manage the successful delivery of the D365 BC ERP solution.
Whatwill you do in this role?
- Coordinate with the Sikich Sales team on project handoffs and collaborate with Directors on resourcing client projects.
- Partner with clients to define, manage, and track project objectives, scope, timelines, budgets, and resource plans for D365 BC implementations.
- Plan and lead client project planning sessions, kick-off meetings, and recurring project status meetings.
- Coordinate with Sikich consultants to gather weekly project updates and prepare detailed project management documentation and reporting.
- Participate in operational review meetings with clients to translate business needs into functional requirements & business scenarios.
- Manage the effective transition of requirements to the delivery team, ensuring a clear & complete understanding of requirements.
- Identify risks and develop risk mitigation plans in close collaboration with clients and maintain RAID log.
- Prepare for and facilitate Steering Committee meetings.
- Participate in the weekly internal Project Manager meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in any of the following areas:
Information Technology, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 5+ years' of combined D365 Business Central & NAV implementation and consulting experience, with at least 2 of those years spent leading projects as a Project Manager.
- Experience in a consulting environment strongly preferred.
- Experience interacting directly with clients or external stakeholders, project managers, and technical consultants.
- Strong knowledge of the phases and tasks involved in ERP implementations.
- Solid understanding of accounting and supply chain concepts.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, distribution, warehouse industries or equipment rental industries, highly preferred.
- Excellent client relationship and interpersonal skills, organization, & prioritization capabilities.
- Ability to professionally interact with clients and team, in-person and remotely.
