cFocus Software seeks an Application Programmer to join our program supporting the Department of Defense (DoD). This position is remote. This position requires the ability a Public Trust clearance.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in application programming or software development.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Proficiency in at least one enterprise programming language (e.g., Java, C#, PL/SQL, or similar).
  • Experience supporting web-based and database-driven applications.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of DoD or federal cybersecurity requirements, including RMF and STIGs.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD CAC and required background investigation
Duties:
  • Develop, modify, and maintain application source code in support of DSAID sustainment and enhancement activities.
  • Implement approved Change Requests (CRs) and backlog items in accordance with Agile sprint schedules.
  • Support corrective, adaptive, perfective, and preventive software maintenance activities.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Perform unit testing and support automated testing activities within the Dev Sec Ops  pipeline.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve Tier 2 and Tier 3 incidents.
  • Support integration testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production releases.
  • Ensure application code complies with DMDC coding standards, cybersecurity requirements, and STIG guidance.
  • Support RMF activities by addressing application-related security findings and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including design artifacts, release notes, and runbooks.
  • Collaborate with Systems Analysts, Database teams, QA staff, and Cybersecurity personnel.
  • Support application interfaces, APIs, and data exchanges with internal and external systems.
  • Assist with cloud migration, modernization, and performance optimization initiatives
