The Data Migration Specialist will lead and execute complex data migrations for law firms, corporate legal departments, and government legal groups, with a strong emphasis on CJIS‑compliant projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring secure, reliable, and auditable migrations that uphold compliance standards while driving delivery excellence and supporting strategic growth in the Legal Tech vertical.

You will analyze legacy system data, gather client requirements, and make critical data architecture decisions that shape successful outcomes.

• Lead data‑focused workshops to capture business rules, explain mapping decisions, and secure client sign‑off.
• Guide clients through data extraction, conversion processes, and data cleansing in legacy systems or staging environments.
• Plan and deliver end‑to‑end data migration projects, including mapping, transformation, validation, and cutover.
• Establish and enforce testing procedures to ensure accuracy and alignment with client specifications.
• Ensure all CJIS migrations meet CJIS and other relevant compliance standards for public sector clients.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation and validation artifacts.
• Work closely with India‑based data analysts and delivery leadership to scope, troubleshoot, and execute migrations.
• Serve as the US‑based point of contact for sensitive client engagements, particularly government and corporate legal groups.
• Develop and maintain migration toolkits, validation scripts, and repeatable processes.
• Contribute to internal playbooks and provide training on compliance and best practices.
• Partner with solution architects and consultants during technical discovery for migration‑heavy deals.

• 5+ years in data migration, data architecture, or related roles
  , preferably in legal or regulated industries.
• Experience migrating documents/files

• Hands‑on expertise in data mapping, ETL, transformation, and validation

• Proficiency in creating data mapping documents, transformation rules, and migration logic
  .
• Strong knowledge of database systems and T‑SQL scripting
  .
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain CJIS certification
  .
• Experience in client‑facing roles and translating business rules into technical specifications.
• Strong project management and communication skills
