IT Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead application-related initiatives within a private-equity backed manufacturing environment leveraging SAP ERP. This role will be responsible for delivering projects using the IPEEC process and Waterfall methodology, with a strong focus on structured documentation, planning, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the full project lifecycle for IT application initiatives using the IPEEC process (Initiate, Plan, Execute, Evaluate, Close) within a Waterfall project structure.
• Provide project management, organizational change management (OCM), and strategic consulting support to senior executives and business leaders.
• Partner with cross-functional teams—including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, HR, Legal, Finance, and IT—to ensure alignment of application solutions with business goals and processes.
• Own and maintain comprehensive Smartsheet project planning documents, including:
• Project schedules and Gantt charts
• Cost estimations and budgeting
• Resource estimations and allocations
• Status dashboards and risk/issue logs
• Facilitate weekly team meetings to update project timelines, resolve blockers, manage risks, and drive forward momentum.
• Prepare and present executive-level briefings, dashboards, and PowerPoint presentations, utilizing the client’s preferred reporting tools.
• Support governance activities including steering committee logistics, meeting minutes, and decision tracking.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in IT Project Management, focused on enterprise application projects in a Waterfall environment.
• Experience with Smartsheet for managing project documentation and planning is preferred.
• Strong consulting background; commercial consulting experience is highly preferred.
• Experience managing projects involving SAP ERP and other enterprise applications in a manufacturing setting is strongly desired.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain business requirements, resource and cost estimations, and project tracking tools.
• Familiarity with structured methodologies such as IPEEC or similar frameworks.
• PMP or equivalent Project Management certification is preferred.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
