We are looking for an Emerging and Disruptive Technology Analyst who will analyze and assess future technology and its military application(s) by foreign states and non-states. Produces assessments projecting the discovery, development, and deployment of advanced technologies and the potential impact to Defense Critical Infrastructure and U.S. nuclear weapons worldwide.
You will be instrumental in producing intelligence supporting the production of the National Security Threat Capabilities Assessment, and threat assessments / global baseline assessments for the Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP).
Work locations vary throughout the National Capital Region (NCR), with Reston, VA and Washington, DC being primary locations.
Responsibilities- Analyze and assess future technology and its military application(s) by foreign states and non-states.
- Produce assessments projecting the discovery, development, and deployment of advanced technologies and the potential impact to Defense Critical Infrastructure and U.S. nuclear weapons worldwide.
- Produce intelligence supporting the production of the National Security Threat Capabilities Assessment and threat assessments / global baseline assessments for the Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP).
- Provide guidance in selecting, designing, and applying analytic methodologies.
- Use argument evaluation and validated analytic methodologies to challenge differing perspectives.
- Develop comprehensive assessments and forecasts on the strategic, operational, and tactical implications of EDTs for the organization, its partners, and national interests. This includes assessing potential disruption, opportunities for innovation, and areas of vulnerability.
- Produce high-quality, actionable intelligence products such as strategic assessments, threat reports, technology forecasts, and policy briefs for diverse audiences, including senior leadership, policy makers, technical experts, and operational units.
- Develop and implement advanced methodologies, analytical frameworks, and leverage specialized tools for intelligence collection and analysis.
- 8+ years experience conducting analysis with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
- Proven experience with all-source intelligence analysis, critical thinking, structured analytical techniques, and the ability to synthesize complex information from diverse sources.
- Strong ability to anticipate future technological developments and their potential long-term impacts, including second and third-order effects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate highly technical concepts into clear, concise, and compelling intelligence products for non-technical audiences, including senior decision-makers.
- Proficiency in conducting extensive technical research, data analysis, and using analytical tools.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced.
- Demonstrated ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organization, and intelligence disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence.
- Minimum 12 years of overall experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years reflecting the above areas of responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions and experience routinely testing analytic rigor of analytic products.
- Active TS/SCI

- Monday - Friday, 8 hours each day.
