Provider Data Management Specialist Job Description
Purpose & Scope:
The Provider Data Management Specialist will oversee and coordinate provider data respective to our Medical Staff Office and the VHC Health network of providers. This role will involve supporting management of multiple provider databases (including but not limited to Cactus, Epic, Salesforce, and more), maintenance of data accuracy and integrity, provider relations and vendor relationships with external entities. This individual will help ensure that VHC Health has comprehensive healthcare provider information across multiple systems to support provider network management and integrity.
This role is critical to provider satisfaction and supporting operational efficiency in patient care.
Education:
Bachelor's degree is required.
Preferred degree in Business, Healthcare, Data Analytics, Data Science, or Public Health.
Experience:
1-3 years of data management experience. Preferred experience in healthcare administration, provider network management, analytics, and other related fields.
Certification/Licensure:
None required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Microsoft 365 Suite
- Microsoft Excel (advanced skills – internship experience, multi-project experience), manipulate spreadsheet data files
- Data Management, Validation and Analysis
- Understand healthcare provider networks and relationships
- Self-motivated, self-directed and independent worker
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to address data integrity issues
- Prioritize and execute tasks and projects in a timely manner
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in complex problem-solving environments
