Manager Clinical Rehab

Inova Mt. Vernon hospital is seeking a manager to oversee our Rehabilitation acute care team. You will oversee the department, managing employees to ensure center is running effectively.

• Oversees assigned department or functional area to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, hiring and training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing performance of team members, and delegating tasks.
• Fosters two-way communication with staff relating to program issues, policy/procedures, regulatory requirements, and healthcare trends.
• Oversees staffing to ensure smooth delivery of patient care while anticipating job vacancies as well as coordinating/adjusting schedules.
• Monitors and manages program outcomes (e.g. functional outcomes, patient satisfaction, team member satisfaction, program costs, etc.).
• Contributes to the collective knowledge base of the Rehabilitation staff and serves as a facility and community resource.
• Participates in the maintenance/enforcement of operating unit policies and The Joint Commission/CARF regulations

• Certification - Basic Life Support BLS
• Licensure - Virginia license eligible in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy
• Experience - Three years of clinical experience in similar rehab setting
• Education - bachelor's degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy or masters in speech language pathology
