Peoplesoft Payroll Manager

Alexandria, VA – Hybrid – 4 days/week

• Provide support for payroll by reviewing staff execution of payroll processes and related calculations to ensure accuracy, reasonability, and adherence to policies and CBA agreements.
• Identify processing errors and abnormalities with the payroll team to develop improvements in financial processing of payroll.
• Update and revise processing playbooks/procedures related to Kronos time capture, as well as the People Soft and Oracle Fusion Time and Labor and Payroll modules.
• Collaborate with the reporting team to develop analytical reporting and metrics to improve the payroll process, including payroll-related tickets in CA Service Desk/Help Desk solutions.
• Review and strengthen controls around the historical correction process and document the process.
• Track and review the execution of payroll processing to ensure tasks are performed following proper procedures and policies.
• Perform sampling reviews of input data for weekly and biweekly payroll processing to ensure accuracy and reasonableness.
• Review and test manual payroll calculations for accuracy before input into the system.
• Demonstrate strong account analysis and reconciliations skills; prepare and review reconciliations and supporting documentation, including review of reconciling items for appropriateness.
• Maintain working knowledge and experience with Kronos Timekeeping, People Soft, and Oracle Fusion Payroll.

Requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree, and CPP certification. An advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of 2 years’ experience at a Payroll Manager level related to engagements for financial institutions, real estate, public/private sector, Federal, State or Local government, or other specialized area defined by a task order.
