With our state‑of‑the‑art integration, production and test facilities, we are building the infrastructure needed to develop, integrate, assemble, test, deploy, and sustain advanced laser and microwave systems.
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Systems Engineer to manage the integration and testing of the systems engineering processes for a new project. The position involves providing engineering support to the integration, testing/acceptance, and delivery of systems, structures, components, and software, as well as developing and directing preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform system integration and verification/validation testing of system requirements.
- Support technical planning and evaluations of alternatives including cost, risk, supportability and manufacturability.
- Communicate task status with clarity and brevity.
- Identify, articulate, and manage risks.
- Manage internal and external relationships.
- Create and maintain various reports.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, software, and test engineers, to ensure a cohesive and effective system design.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Mid Level: 2 years relevant experience with a Bachelors in a related field; or 0 years with a Masters; or High School Diploma and 6 years relevant experience.
- Mid to Senior Level: 5 years relevant experience with a Bachelors; or 3 years with a Masters; or 0 years with a PhD; or High School Diploma and 9 years relevant experience.
- Senior Level: 9 years relevant experience with a Bachelors; or 7 years with a Masters; or 4 years with a PhD; or High School Diploma and 13 years relevant experience.
- Senior Lead Level: 15 years relevant experience with a Bachelors; or 13 years with a Masters; or 10 years with a PhD; or High School Diploma and 19 years relevant experience.
- Experience authoring and implementing system test plans and leading system integration efforts.
- Experience working within government contracts.
- Technical and problem‑solving intuition.
- Ability to anticipate and mitigate programmatic implications of system challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for government stakeholders, company leadership, and technical subject matter experts.
- Self‑motivated with strong work ethic.
- Clearance:
Must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
- 15 years relevant experience with a Bachelors; or 13 years with a Masters; or 10 years with a PhD.
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a related field.
- Experience with Open Systems Architectures.
- Experience with system safety, reliability, and maintainability engineering.
- Experience managing tasks within budgets.
- Experience in risk management, including risk register development.
- Experience with hardware and software systems engineering.
- Experience working within Department of Defense contracts and testing sites.
Work in office, industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving materials may be required.
