SPA provides critical decision support for ensuring U.S. military forces maintain technological superiority. We have an immediate need for a Software Engineer to provide onsite support out of Alexandria, VA.

The Digital Program Management (DPM) initiative at SPA aims to develop a comprehensive analytics platform to support day‑to‑day management of DoW program offices. The Software Engineer specializing in Database Development will design a Database Administration Strategy to fulfill DPM’s objectives. Responsibilities include managing the strategy by collaborating with DPM

Functional Area

Leads, managing schedules, communicating with stakeholders, documenting tasking, delegating responsibilities, mentoring junior developers, and performing code reviews. Execution involves creating database schemas, reports, migration scripts, and backup schedules. Validation requires developing test plans and metrics to demonstrate schema suitability and backup reliability as applied to DPM.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience developing Database Applications
• 5+ years of experience with Relational Database Management Systems: SQLite, Postgre
  
  SQL, and/or MS SQL Server
• 3+ years of experience with Entity Framework Core and C#
• Experience working with Git for Source Control Management
• Active Secret clearance

• 7+ years of experience developing database applications
• 3+ years mentoring junior developers
• Experience giving presentations to large groups
• Experience working in a Dev Sec Ops  environment
