Queen of Apostles Catholic School (Alexandria, VA) Seeks a Mission-Driven Principal for Its Next Chapter

Queen of Apostles Catholic School is a diverse, growing, single-track, K-8 school located in Alexandria, Virginia. For 60 years, we have formed students in our core values of faith, excellence, and joy.

Our terrific Principal, Dr. Kristie Meyers, is departing at the end of the current school year, and we are grateful for her steady leadership over the past five years. Our Pastor has convened a search committee composed of school and parish stakeholders to identify a new Principal to start in summer 2026 for the  school year. We seek candidates who are practicing Catholics in good standing with the Church;

who demonstrate a strong understanding of and commitment to the mission of Catholic education; who have completed or are pursuing a graduate-level degree; and who have at least five (5) years teaching experience in Catholic schools. Previous experience as an Assistant Principal or Principal is preferred.

We are particularly interested in candidates who desire to model the wonder and awe of sacramental life to children and families; who hold a deep understanding of proven educational approaches, methods, and systems; who have a vision for building solid academic foundations in early elementary school while providing opportunities for unique enrichment in middle school; who find joy in growing a vibrant and mission-aligned community of families and faculty;

and who have ideas to distinguish our school among others in the diocese and local area.
