Inova Cares Women OB​/GYN Physician; MD​/DO Mount Vernon

Overview

Inova Health is actively seeking a physician to fill an OB/GYN position at the Inova Cares Clinic for Women Mount Vernon site located in Alexandria, Virginia. This role will be full-time. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.

• Full spectrum OB/GYN practice (inpatient and outpatient).
• Function as a “Safety Officer” for L&D for early detection and prevention of safety events.
• Provide care for a culturally diverse population of uninsured and low-income individuals in Northern Virginia.
• Prenatal and gynecologic care for underserved communities.
• Non-stress testing, LEEP and colposcopy procedures.

• Education:
  
  Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution. Board eligible or board certified in OB/GYN.
• Experience:
  
  Completion of OB/GYN residency program. 2 years of post-residency experience preferred.
• Licensure:
  Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
• Payor Credentialing:
  Ability to complete credentialing by third-party payors and to enroll as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payer.
• Medical Staff Credentialing:
  Credentialing for Medical Staff membership and privileges.

• Two years of post-residency experience strongly preferred.

• Level III NICU on site with transfer to Level IV NICU as needed
• Antenatal Testing Center, 24/7 in-house anesthesiology, 13 L&D suites, 3 C-section suites, Magnet hospital for nursing
