Construction Superintendent – Heavy Civil

Terra Site Constructors, dba as Terra Constructs currently has a need for a Construction Superintendent with experience on Heavy Civil projects. The position is responsible for the organization of work methods, scheduling, cost control, conformity to drawings and specifications, workmanship, and assignment of work. The position works closely with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors and job site staff.

• Provides day-to-day direction of staff, working with general foreman.
• Manages day-to-day productivity, performance, scheduling, safety and quality on projects.
• Interacts with clients, engineers, architects, vendors to ensure project schedules are met.
• Prepares reports on project progress and scheduling issues.
• Responsible for reporting material and equipment needs to management.
• Works closely with staff to resolve employee issues and conflicts in order to maintain a positive work environment.
• Assists in schedule planning, staff requirements, scheduling issues and equipment needs.
• Ensures safe work practices are in place and followed by staff.
• Identifies job site safety issues and proactively ensures that issues are resolved.

• 8 years of Construction Industry Experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience working on large Heavy Civil Infrastructure projects, such as roadways, bridges, retaining walls, sound barriers, etc.
• Knowledge of a variety of construction disciplines.
• Strong attention to detail and maintaining schedules
• Strong commitment to Safety and ensuring a safe working environment.
• Excellent driving record
• Must pass background check and drug test.
