Position Summary
Responsible for the identification of new business opportunities and the expansion of current contracts and opportunities. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with current and potential Federal clients. Supports the Companys strategic planning, business development, capture management and proposal development. Conducts research and makes recommendations on new work, new market areas and teaming arrangements.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Business Development- Development of the Business Development Plan in coordination with the General Manager and overall Federal Group strategy.
- Conduct daily market research to identify new opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with teaming partners and maintain partnership strategies.
- Keep activity and status tracking information in official tracking systems (Salesforce) current and accurate.
- Communicate with the General Manager about significant activities and events affecting business development.
- Provides Management level briefings to Corporate and Customer personnel as required.
- Provides timely responses to General Manager requests for information.
- Prepare RFIs, RFPs and RFQs with supporting departments for submission (see below).
- Meets all deadlines established or obtains timely adjusted deadlines based on current events.
- Manages all data tracking for SBA BD and internal requirements.
- Prepares capture documentation and provides General Manager with updated information.
- Supervises the Business Development Administrator.
- Creates GAP analysis as needed for opportunities.
- Attend all internal BD meetings with all stakeholders.
- Assist with proposal development by generating templates, writing, gathering past performance information, requesting logos, company write ups and past performance from teaming partners, completing, distributing questionnaires and gathering CPARS.
- Other duties and assistance as required to ensure submissions are technically acceptable and priced to win.
- Bachelors Degree (in the Business Management field, preferred)
- 5-year minimum experience working in business development or capture management or proposal development.
- Extensive knowledge of assigned markets, business practices, and government contracting.
- Excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and quickly adjust priorities.
- Must be a team member who communicates well with peers and supervisors.
- Ability to work on deadline-oriented projects and meet critical deadlines.
- Salesforceandtrade; experience preferred
- MS Office Suite - Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, and Excel
