Overview

CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned Mission Focused and Digital Transformation company, is looking for a Capture Director to support our Fed/Civ Division. The position will be based at our headquarters in Alexandria, VA.

The Capture Director will be responsible for managing capture processes to win new business and achieve aggressive sales goals. The role handles multiple major pursuits in the Federal Civilian market spaces, collaborates across organizational lines to develop winning bids, manages teaming, briefs senior leadership, and oversees internal and external pursuit resources to ensure responsible execution. The ideal candidate will have superb attention to detail, a strong grasp of process, be a hands-on manager, and a track record of winning new business.

Responsibilities
  • Manage capture processes to win new business and achieve aggressive sales goals.
  • Handle multiple major pursuits in Federal Civilian market spaces; work across organizational lines to develop winning bids.
  • Coordinate teaming arrangements, brief senior leadership, and manage internal and external pursuit resources responsibly.
  • Demonstrate superb attention to detail, strong process orientation, and hands-on leadership in pursuit activities.
  • Research and gather relevant information to address customer needs, articulate features and benefits of proposed solutions, and identify win themes for proposal sections.
  • Develop solid understanding of IDIQs, GWACs, Schedules, RFPs, and various pricing models (fixed price, cost reimbursable, cost plus).
  • Oversee the proposal writing process and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Maintain high ethical and business standards; communicate effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Work overtime when required and adapt to limited advance notice.
  • Utilize Microsoft SharePoint and Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiently.
  • Apply Shipley Capture Planning or equivalent processes where applicable.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment and meet established goals in cooperation with colleagues.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • BA/BS degree.
  • 8–10 years of capture management experience, including development of Capture Plans for key pursuits; strong understanding of solutioning, competitive assessments, risk review triggers and processes, pricing, price-to-win, recruiting/staffing, teaming/workshare, and proposal development.
