Overview
Malloy Automotive is seeking a driven and experienced Automotive Service Director to lead our high-performing service department. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day service operations, mentoring the service team, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining efficient workflows. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a customer-first mindset and a solid background in dealership service operations.

- Oversee all service department operations, including scheduling, customer service, technician performance, and workflow efficiency
- Supervise and ensure the success of all warranty processes, maintaining compliance with manufacturer standards and maximizing warranty revenue.
- Support and oversee the dealership’s Mobile Service Team to ensure efficient, high-quality off-site service operations.
- Hire, train, and manage service advisors and technicians
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and resolve any escalated issues
- Monitor department profitability and manage budgets, labor hours, and parts inventory
- Collaborate with parts, sales departments, office, and body shop for optimal dealership performance
- Enforce safety protocols and compliance with manufacturer and company policies
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and customer communication
- Implement and monitor KPIs to ensure department goals are met or exceeded
- Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement
- Mentor and develop service department staff to promote continuous learning, growth, and overall team performance
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred
- Previous experience as a Service Manager or in a senior service role required
- Proven track record of success in an automotive dealership environment
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient in DMS systems and dealership software (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Auto Mate, Xtime, Guest
XP) - Strong understanding of automotive repairs, service processes, and warranty procedures
- Valid U.S. driver s license with a clean driving record
