Alfred Street Baptist Church (ASBC) is seeking a service-oriented Administrative Assistant I to support our growing congregation of over 12,000 members. This role plays a key part in supporting the Worship and Ministries Department and ensuring a welcoming, well-organized experience for staff, members, and visitors.
This is a full-time, onsite position.
Onsite schedule:
Tuesday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Some evening and weekend hours are required to support services and special events.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to Worship Experience and Ministries staff
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting visitors and answering a multi-line phone system
- Prepare, copy, scan, file, and distribute documents and materials
- Coordinate office supplies and assist with ministry distributions
- Serve as a point of contact for general church information, events, and schedules
- Support special projects, mailings, and program preparation as needed
- High school diploma
- 3-5 years of administrative or office support experience
- Experience answering phones and greeting guests in a professional setting
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Technology forward and can easily navigate Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other office technology
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
