Job Summary
We are hiring immediately for a full‑time Office Personnel Administrator position within the Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS).
Location: 3330 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22302 (Openings available at other ACPS locations).
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. Full‑time; flexibility for part‑time as needed.
Requirements: Prior recruitment and training experience is required.
Pay Range: $15.30 – $17.50 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Train other staff members to perform work activities, such as using computer applications.
- Answer telephones, direct calls, take messages and run errands.
- Prepare meeting agendas, attend meetings and record/transcribe minutes.
- Make travel arrangements.
- Complete work schedules, manage calendars and arrange appointments.
- Open and route incoming mail, answer correspondence and prepare outgoing mail.
- Compile, copy, sort and file records of office activities, business transactions and other activities.
- Complete and mail bills, contracts, policies, invoices and checks.
- Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voicemail systems and personal computers.
- Type, format, proofread and edit correspondence, reports and other documents.
- Review files, records and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
- Compute, record and proofread data and other information.
- Process and prepare documents, such as business or government forms and expense reports.
- Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing and database systems.
- Communicate with customers, employees and others to answer questions; disseminate or explain information; take orders and address complaints.
- Collect, count and disburse money; perform basic bookkeeping; complete banking transactions.
- Troubleshoot problems involving office equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
