Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting
High-growth government contractor based in Alexandria, VA is adding several accounting positions due to internal growth. This individual will oversee the Project Accounting function within the Controllership organization. They will be responsible for reading and understanding contracts and appropriately setting up contracts in Costpoint based on their knowledge of Costpoint and business. This individual will also work closely to coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure agreement on key contract terms and conditions for project setup.
This role will also supervise day-to-day activities. This includes training on project setup processes, review and approve of project setup actions prior to completion in the accounting system, and providing real-time performance feedback. This position will also track metrics around the project setup process and report to Controllership leadership on results.
Position Requirements- 4 year college degree
- 3+ years Project accounting and project setup experience (Costpoint)
- Individual should understand all aspects of Project setup configuration, including dependencies (project setup module, project levels, accounts, orgs, project labor categories, employee info)
- Basic revenue recognition for all types of contract T&M, FFP, CPFC, and financial reporting.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
