Overview
Transport fabricated parts, record movements in ERP, verify quantities and labels, and monitor material availability to support fabrication operations. Maintain safety and cleanliness in finishing and cleaning processes, and uphold company values.
Responsibilities- Transport fabricated parts using carts to the next operation in the fabrication process.
- Accurately record part movement in ERP system to maintain inventory integrity.
- Verify part quantities and labels before movement to prevent downstream errors.
- Monitor and communicate material shortages, delays, or discrepancies to the appropriate team members.
- Finish and clean operations, including deburring, polishing, passivation, and straightening to meet quality standards.
- Perform cleaning operations on raw materials to prepare them for fabrication.
- Inspect finished and cleaned parts to verify they meet visual and dimensional requirements.
- Maintain finishing and cleaning equipment, reporting wear or issues to ensure consistent performance.
- Handle raw materials accurately.
- Accurately move raw materials between warehouses using the ERP system.
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials and assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Verify raw material identification, quantities, and heat numbers to ensure correct usage in fabrication.
- Store materials in designated locations to maintain organization, traceability, and safe warehouse conditions.
- Foster open communication, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration while upholding values of Winning, Together, Honorably, Passionately, and Positively.
- Recommend and implement best practices to prioritize safety, improve productivity, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain professional interactions with customers and vendors, representing the company accurately and positively.
- Overtime may be required based on business and customer needs; team members may be asked to work outside regular shifts or on non-regular workdays.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous shipping, receiving, and inventory experience preferred
- Ability to operate or be trained to operate a forklift
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment helpful
- Observant with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers verbally and in writing
- Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use company software
- Proficient keyboarding skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Conscientious of meeting and exceeding internal and external customers needs
- Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb
- Valid driver’s license required
