Job DescriptionTo meet customer's expectations and requirements by producing all parts requiring programming, complex tooling, and setups while meeting or exceeding standards for quality, productivity, and safety.
ITW Heartland is looking for a motivated individual to enter our technical scholar program with an interest in learning to work as a Machinist in our Manufacturing department. This position is responsible for making parts with milling and lathe equipment. At the successful completion of this program, you will know how to understand GD&T tolerances, be proficient at CNC Programming, and able to load a part into a machine, run the program, remove the part, and inspect.

- Lathes
- Milling machines
- OD & Thread Grinders
- Hand tools (i.e., screwdrivers, hammers)
- Hobing Equipment
- Redine
- Pallet jack
- Ladders
- Computers
- Eye protection required
- Protective toe footwear required; ear plugs available
Education and Experience s:
- Be enrolled as a full-time student at a partnered Technical College with ITW Heartland.
- Have and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of machinist education or related work experience.
Physical Demands:
- The ability to stand or walk for 8-10 hours a day.
- Capable of lifting 35 lbs.
