Resident Assistant – Part Time Days & Evenings – Nelson Gables

This is when you’ll do work that truly matters.

Schedule:

Part Time – 20 hrs/pay period – 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. during the week and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the weekends – Includes every other weekend and a holiday rotation.

As a Resident Assistant at Vivie, you’ll play a key role in providing exceptional care and support to residents by assisting with daily activities, fostering a positive environment, and ensuring their comfort and safety. We’re looking for a compassionate, dependable, and proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative and caring community.

Competitive pay range: $18.50/hr to $23.65/hr (hourly non‑exempt). Benefits include health coverage, wellness programs, and opportunities for professional growth.

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health or emotional well‑being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

• A commitment to serving with excellence and integrity.
• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem‑solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state‑required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
