Primary Objective: Provide mechanical design support by creating drawings and engineering solutions while meeting or exceeding standards for quality, productivity, and safety.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must be a current Junior or Senior college student pursuing a Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
- Minimum 2.8 GPA. (Applicants with a GPA below 2.8 may attach a letter of explanation
- Create Detailed Prints: Develop comprehensive prints from assembly drawings, including dimensions, plating, and material specifications.
- Optimize Designs: Design parts and mechanisms that are efficient and cost-effective to fabricate.
- Generate Part Lists: Create mechanical purchase lists to ensure smooth procurement.
- Maintain Documentation: Organize and manage electronic files for various projects.
- Provide Technical Support: Assist with troubleshooting machine issues and provide support to the team.
- Collaborate: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members to ensure project success.
Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year Engineering program
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD).
- Excellent understanding of mechanical principles and components.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A passion for automation and a desire to learn.
