Applications Engineer

Brief Description

Massman Companies, Inc. is seeking a driven and solutions-oriented Applications Engineer to transform customer challenges into innovative, cost-effective packaging solutions. In this highly visible role, you will partner closely with Sales, customers, and internal engineering teams to develop concept designs, generate accurate cost models, and bring creative ideas to life—often working independently and taking ownership from initial concept through project kickoff.

• 2-year technical education in related field or 4-year mechanical engineering degree preferred.
• 5 years packaging-related experience can substitute for education, or a relevant combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Excellent AutoCAD and/or Solid Works skills.
• Excellent understanding of mechanical linkages and components (i.e., Bearings, sprockets, pulleys, air cylinders).
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes.
