We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to partner with our team. The role involves vehicle troubleshooting, repair and maintenance on chassis and track‑mounted aerials, digger derricks, cranes, high rail, and other equipment, in accordance with dealer and factory standards, either at the service center or in the field.

• Report to Service Manager for issue briefings and supporting information.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and repair orders to perform maintenance and service; must be able to use a laptop for diagnostics.
• Execute work as outlined by Service Manager following Custom Truck One Source standards.
• Inspect, service, and repair vehicles both at the service center and in the field.
• Verify work performed and conduct road tests as necessary.
• Prepare inspection reports, repair orders, and time cards accurately.
• Tag all warranty and core parts for return.
• Advise management if additional work is needed, not required, or if repairs cannot be completed within promised time.
• Attend safety training and follow all safety requirements.
• Attend Custom Truck One Source and factory sponsor training classes.
• Maintain neat, clean work area and account for all CTOS tools.
• Comply with federal, state, and local hazardous waste disposal regulations.
• Communicate with customers and internal departments to minimize equipment downtime.
• Travel beyond coverage area as business needs dictate.
• Work closely with Service Manager to improve customer satisfaction.
• Carry company‑issued cellphone for on‑call purposes.
• Perform additional duties as designated by the Service Manager.

High School/GED.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Five+ years direct experience as a truck or construction machinery mechanic or equivalent education, training, and experience in chassis, track, digger derrick, crane, and high rail equipment repair.
• Two+ years related automotive or vocational truck operation and maintenance experience.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
• CDL Class A license or ability to obtain one.

• Two‑year technical degree in automotive or diesel mechanics.
