TRAVEL RN – PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)

Location: Alexandria, LA
Unit: PICU (Cost Center 645)
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Duration: 13 Weeks
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year PICU experience
Radius Rule: 80-mile radius required

• Floor: 3rd Floor
• Patient Ratios: 1:1–2
• Staffing:
  • Days: 1 Charge Nurse + 1 RN/LPN (varies by census)
  • Nights: 1 Charge Nurse + 1 RN/LPN (varies by census)
• EMR: Meditech | Pyxis

Equipment Includes:
Alaris IV Pumps, Bair Hugger, Kangaroo Feeding Pump, Giraffe Infant Warmer, Ventilators, BiPAP, High-Flow Oxygen

• Minimum 1 year of Pediatric ICU nursing experience
• Active RN license
• Certifications Required:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS

• Spinal taps
• Titration of critical drips (sedation, vasoactive, paralytic)
• Sedated MRI
• EKG, EEG, Telemetry
• Port access and discontinuation
• Intubation and extubation

• May float to NICU (low acuity patients only)
• May float to Nursery
• May float to OB/GYN if qualified

• Weekends: Rotating
• May be scheduled for mixed days, nights, and weekends as needed
• Dress Code: Teal scrubs

• Gross Weekly Pay: $2,520
• Weekly Stipend: $1,260
• W2 Hourly Rate: $35/hour
