Float Pool LPN

Rapides Regional Medical Center – Alexandria, Louisiana ➤ Full Time, Day Shift (7am‑7pm), Weekends Rotate

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an LPN/LVN, you will help deliver safe, high‑quality care that puts patients first. Your clinical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and compassionate presence support a collaborative team dedicated to patient health.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Providing focused nursing care for patients with complex needs – administer medications, manage lines or drains, and assist with interventions such as cardiac monitoring or respiratory support.
  • Observing patients closely for subtle status changes, and escalating concerns quickly to support early intervention.
  • Documenting timely, accurate updates to coordinate the care team.
  • Explaining complex conditions and recovery steps clearly to patients and families.
  • Collaborating with RNs, providers, and specialists to stabilize patients and guide transition from intensive care to recovery.
Qualifications
  • ACLS certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • LPN/LVN licensed or eligible for licensure.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Minimum of three years experience in Med/Surg.
