RN Supervisor Oncology

Overview

Rapides Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN Supervisor (Clinical Nurse Coordinator) Oncology. Full Time, Night Shift, Weekends Rotate. This position is eligible for a $20,000 Sign On Bonus.

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, in collaboration with the management team.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
• Support engagement by operationalizing nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
• Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; implement courses of action including training/development, conflict resolution, policy compliance, evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Support inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
• 2 years experience in an acute care Oncology setting required
