Registered Nurse - Pediatrics PRN Seasonal

Rapides Regional Medical Center is hiring a Seasonal Registered Nurse for Pediatric and PICU departments. This is a PRN Seasonal contract position with a full-time schedule within the seasonal period.

What qualifications you will need
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse license required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Seasonal Program Requirements – Seasonal PRN Status with a Full-Time Schedule
  • All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.
  • Three weekend shifts are required every 4 weeks.
  • 1 year of Pediatric/PICU experience is required.
  • During the 32-week period, two holiday shifts are required (defined by Department Manager or designee).
  • Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees with no guaranteed hours by the hospital and are subject to first call-off.
  • Seasonal Staff are not eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contributions per PRN policy.
  • Seasonal Staff are not eligible for extra shift bonuses.
  • Seasonal nurses will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation.
  • Current employees are not eligible to join the Seasonal program for .
  • Shifts may vary based on department needs.
