We are looking for an Assembler A, who is safety conscious and willing to learn and grow with the business. This is a role where you will work in a TEAM environment where safety always comes first.
ResponsibilitiesAssembler A’s are an integral part of our manufacturing process. The responsibilities for this position include:
- Read and understand blueprints and instructions, and mark parts appropriately
- Operate machinery, hoists, and cranes to move pieces into and out of work area and position pieces for processes
- Read and properly use measurement tools
- Perform fit up functions to assemble, position, adjust, and secure parts to each other and various tank components
- Ability to tack weld
- Perform subassembly functions and assemble parts for application to tank cars such as flanges, sills, bolsters, brake lines and other specific components
- Grind seams, edges, and cuts
- Attach variety of parts to the inside and outside of tank cars
- Other duties as assigned
- 2 or more years’ experience as an assembler
