- Established PICU team
with 2 Pediatric Intensivists and 2 Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PNPs) - Flexible week-on/week-off schedule
with home call (30-minute response time) - Daily PNP coverage
and collaborative care model - Teaching opportunities
with family practice residents, PNPs, RNs, and RTs
- Inpatient Pediatric Floor
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
- Pediatric Sedation Services
- No ECMO or post-op hearts
- Procedures include
: intubations, lumbar punctures, line placement, chest tubes, CPR - Documentation
: H&Ps, progress notes, discharge summaries
- Pediatric Admissions: ~550/year
- PICU Admissions: 250–300/year
- Pediatric ADC: 6 | PICU ADC: 3
- Subspecialty Support:
Cardiology, Pulmonology, GI - Monthly Subspecialty Clinics: 1–2x/month
