Overview

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

Domestic Assistant

• Provide an efficient, high quality domestic service to patients and staff, following a specific schedule of work relating to defined areas.
• Clean all areas of our hospital (clinical and non-clinical locations). Activities include wet mopping, vacuuming, emptying bins, replenishing supplies, cleaning fixtures, and cleaning toilet/bathroom areas.
• Maintain a flexible approach to the daily routine.
• Use cleaning agents economically and safely, following manufacturers’ instructions.
• In some roles, you may be required to use mechanical cleaning equipment.
• Wear protective clothing as supplied by the Department.
• Complete all daily/weekly sign-off sheets for areas of work.

  Monday and Thursday 16:30–20:00;
  Friday 16:30–19:44
