Band 7 Nurse Manager

Overview

Here at Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) we are an inclusive and dedicated organisation providing excellent care to entitled personnel. We are seeking a motivated Band 7 Nurse Manager to join our team, working alongside the military, with career development opportunities in a collaborative environment. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) based at Aldershot Combined Medical Practice. The Practice comprises two sites, Aldershot and Minley;

you will primarily work at Aldershot and may occasionally support at Minley.

• Lead and manage the nursing team within the Combined Medical Practice (Aldershot) and contribute to service development.
• Provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centred care and work autonomously using advanced history taking and examination skills within a multidisciplinary team, guidelines, and protocols.
• Utilise advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and formulate treatment plans.
• Triage urgent care requests as required, consulting with patients or directing them appropriately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure high-quality care and continuous service improvement.

• Band 7 Nurse Manager or equivalent senior nursing experience in primary or community healthcare.
• Ability to work at Aldershot with occasional support at Minley.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, diagnostic capability, and decision-making within guidelines and protocols.
• Effective communication and leadership skills to work within a multidisciplinary team.
