We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Support Worker.

Primavera House is a supported living service based in Aldershot that supports 6 young adults with learning disabilities, epilepsy, and/or autism to live as independently as possible within their local community.

This is a transitional service that supports young adults in developing their life skills and, in doing so, helps to nurture their potential and encourages them to be active members of their community.

What we’ll give you

  • £12.21 per hour.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Will involve a variety of shifts, including early and late shifts. May occasionally be asked to help with a waking night to cover annual leave.

What you’ll be doing
  • Providing specialist care for 6 young adults who have learning disabilities, epilepsy, and/or autism.
  • Supporting 1-1 and promoting positive well-being.
  • Working to maintain a high level of support that’s required for the service needs.
  • Participating in the chosen activities and interests of the people we support.
  • Maintain and develop their community links, as well as accessing community and leisure pursuits to support their independent living and life skills.
Who you are
  • You will be able to work independently, multitask, organise, and prioritise your work to suit the people we support.
  • You will have clear verbal communication skills and a good standard of written communication is also required.
  • You are motivated and can maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
  • You are a quick learner, hands on, and willing to take part in the chosen activities of the people we support.
  • You are confident and outgoing, as you will be required to interact with multiple residents that need a lot of guidance as part of their support.
  • Previous experience supporting people with similar needs, in a similar setting, is preferred but not essential.
  • You are flexible with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including early and late shifts.
