Mobile Market Program - CDL Driver - ABQ

The Class ACDL Driver(Mobile Market Program) plays a pivotal role in ensuringproduct istransported in a safe andtimelymanner. Drivers are expected to provide exceptional customer service to vendors, team members, our agencypartners as wellasthe general public. Our drivers are the face of Roadrunner Food Bank.
This position is Grant Funded under HB-1funding through June 30, 2027.The continuation of the position after June 30,2027,is dependent onthe securing of additional funding.

Routes can be expectedincentral and Northern New Mexico, with occasionalassignments to other parts of the state as needed.

• Delivers needed food to organizations,schools, and other partnerswho helphungry peopleprimarily in the central and northerregion of thestate of New Mexico, with occasional assignments to other parts of the state
• Occasional pickups offood products from New Mexico-based food sources, with occasional pickupselsewhere, includinglocations inother states
• Transportsfresh produce and other food products to Mobile Marketsitesand other delivery sites as assigned
• Position responsibilities include the cross-docking of loads, the unloading of trailers at distribution sites, and distribution support and leadership at Mobile Market sites
• Maintains
  
  DOT mandated paperworkusing an electronic logging device (ELD) and the management of paperwork associated with Mobile Market site distributions
• Reads and understands schedules, customer orders, work orders, and shipping ordersand Bills-of Ladingtodetermineappointments and inventory to be moved, picked up, or distributed
• Ensuresperishable goodsare transported at the proper refrigeratedtemperature
• Ensures that all stock and inventory items aremaintainedin compliance with Food Bank guidelines and all applicable local, state, or federal laws or regulations
• Observes all local, state, and federal regulationsregardingvehicle transport and Department of Transportation rules
• Completesforms, reports, and logs as required
• Provides excellent customer service to partner agencies, donors, and the public
• Drivesforklifts andoperatesother pallet moving equipment(including electric pallet jacks and truck liftgates) safelyandasassigned
• Able to work independently
• Observes safety and security procedures and reports potentially unsafe conditions to immediate supervisor
• Is consistentlyat work and on time

• This job ismainly adrivingand distributionposition with the need to load and unload trailers as needed
• Significant customer service dutiesand public interactionsrequired
• Inside and outside environmental conditions with no effective protection from the weather
• Extreme cold – temperatures below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour
• Extreme heat - temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour; includes other environmental conditions such as wind and humidity
• Noise - may be necessary to shout to be heard above ambient noise level
• Hazards including a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals
