We are looking for a Swim Coach!

New Mexico Sports & Wellness is Albuquerque's leading upscale athletic, aquatics, tennis, and family fitness club, with 5 convenient locations. Our clubs support the lifestyles of busy professionals, families, health enthusiasts and those who simply strive to be more active by providing a wide spectrum of unique fitness and wellness services.

What our Swim Coaches are all about:
Our Swim Coaches help our members improve their swimming techniques by providing quality instruction and coaching. Our club clientele is broad, so our Instructors enjoy working with toddlers on their floating skills up to Master/Triathlon competitors on advanced stroke mechanics.

Our Swim Coaches share the responsibility for monitoring all activities at the pool with regard to the public and fellow associates to ensure a safe, clean and well-maintained facility. They are confident in their ability to teach group swim lessons, private lessons and adult coaching while being highly customer service oriented.

What you are all about:

• You have joy and enthusiasm for working with children and helping them improve their competitive performance.
• You have 1-3 years of previous coaching experience and/or aquatics experience and coaching membership that is in good standing with USA Swimming.
• You are an ASCA Level II certification (or higher) is highly desirable but not required.
• You have a High School diploma or general education degree (GED);
  Bachelor’s degree ideal.
• You have exceptional communication and motivation skills with children.
• You have the ability to consider varied social, emotional and physical attributes.
• You have an attitude of inclusion and team building.
• You have a CPR/AED & First Aid (Adult) Certification.
• You have a Lifeguard Certification (or Equivalent Water Safety Certification) – Ideal but not required.
• You have a USA Masters Swimming (USMS) Coach Certification.
• You have a Safe Sport Training (USA Swimming).
