Position:
Senior Embedded Firmware/Software Engineer, part of the Boeing Responsive Space Capability team, located in Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on designing, integrating, and testing advanced concepts for the Department of Defense.

• Develop overall embedded systems architecture.
• Support firmware and software research development projects.
• Work in a team environment to develop specifications of firmware and software architectures.
• Research required algorithms and implementation approach.
• Design and validate implementation of all firmware components.
• Integrate and synthesize firmware for the target platform.
• Develop and maintain software code. Integrate software into a fully functional software system.
• Troubleshoot basic firmware and software issues.
• Develop test procedures and document test results to ensure embedded system requirements are met.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience programming in C, C++, or C#.
• Experience with product management and software development methodology.
• Experience in software architecture and software development.

• 5+ years of experience working with FPGA embedded systems.
• Experience with FPGA processor or memory interconnects.
• Experience in embedded software development.
• Hardware integration and software integration experience.
• Experience using programming languages (VHDL, C++, Java, MATLAB).
• Experience developing code for sensor acquisition and sensor processing.
• Experience with electro-optical systems.
• Prior experience as a project lead.

Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Pay based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $118,150 - $159,850.
