Position SummaryPerforms skilled tasks in the installation, service, repair and maintenance of major kitchen appliances, dishwashers, trash compactors, ovens, microwave ovens, refrigerators and other related appliances. Installs, maintains, and/or repairs plumbing systems and related equipment. All while promoting and exhibiting World Class Guest Service to all the Isleta Resort and Casino employees and guests.

Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesThis list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class. - Familiarization with safety, work place, education and understanding of OSHA standards, CPR and First Aid.
- Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
- Installs, inspects, and repairs Major Kitchen Appliances and related Refrigeration systems
- Diagnoses problems in kitchen appliances, refrigerators, ovens, pulpers, disposal units and microwave ovens. Performs preventive maintenance on systems to include electrical and digital controls.
- May perform minor sell-fluxing; reads and interprets blueprints and sketches; reads and interprets various gauges.
- Maintains the water and drainage systems at the Isleta properties and associated support facilities.
- Inspects systems to ascertain cause of malfunctions or repairs. Replaces plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, commodes, water heaters, and hot water tanks.
- Repairs and maintains plumbing by replacing washers or leaky faucets, mending or replacing burst or leaky pipes, and opening clogged drains.
- Measures, cuts threads, and installs water/sewer pipe and fittings; may prepare estimates of material, time, labor, and may order supplies.
- May be required to install, maintain, and repair gas/heating systems and perform gas-fitting work.
- Performs daily checks, completes assigned work orders and daily duties per Facility Maintenance SOPs.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Maintains accurate preventive maintenance records.
- Responds to Security alarm calls as needed.
- Keeps work area clean and performs housekeeping duties as required.
- Documents work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration in accordance to Facility Maintenance SOPs.
- Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
- Responds to repair/maintenance calls and performs routine security checks, as assigned by supervisor and the Daily Duty Checklist, in accordance to Facilities Maintenance and Resort & Casino SOPs and/or Procedures/Policies.
- Occasionally, prepares written materials (e.g. scope of work, work orders, bids, equipment inventory, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written support and/or conveying information.
- Occasionally performs quality control and inspection duties related to the trade.
- Familiarization with shop practices, operation and use of equipment, hand and power tools, and materials.
- Familiarization with safety, work place, education and understanding of State and local Safety Orders.
- Familiarization with Blueprint reading, National Electric Code (NEC), Uniform Pluming Code (UMC), National Fire Protection Association Codes (NEPA), Life Safety Code, and local codes/practices as they pertain to trade.
- Performs other duties of a similar or related level as necessary or assigned.
- May be assigned to drive company vehicle on public roads, to and from Isleta Pueblo properties, and/or other destinations, during shift.
- May instruct, lead and supervise lesser skilled tradesperson
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent required.
- Must have four years paid experience in kitchen appliance service and repair, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning work in a Journeyman capacity; MM-1 MM-2, MM-3 and MM-4.
- A certificate of completion of such a program from a post-high school vocational institute may substitute for two years paid experience.
- Four years proven experience in plumbing as Journeyman; or a certificate of completion of such a program from a post-high school vocational institute may substitute for two years proven experience
- Must be able to acquire and maintain Gaming License issued through POIGRA.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation.
