Diesel Technician - Light Duty

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and mechanical knowledge, particularly in diesel engines and related systems. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining light-duty diesel vehicles and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Conduct inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Repair or replace components such as air brakes, tires, and other essential parts.
• Utilize various tools and equipment, including forklifts, to assist in repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Align wheels and perform tire service as needed to maintain vehicle functionality.
• Solder electrical connections and transmit data for diagnostic purposes.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within a dealership or industrial setting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
• Familiarity with air brake systems and other diesel engine components.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Experience with tire service, alignment, and general automotive repair practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license is preferred.
