About Zia Equipment
Zia Equipment is a family-owned and operated mobile automotive equipment service company based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We specialize in the service, repair, inspection, sales, and installation of automotive shop equipment, including vehicle lifts, alignment systems, tire machines, wheel balancers, air/oil systems, and more. We are known for exceptional customer service, high-quality workmanship, and strong customer relationships built on honesty and integrity.

We are seeking a motivated Automotive Equipment Technician to join our fast-growing team. This is an entry-level to early-career position with hands-on, on-the-job training provided for the right candidate.
You will work as part of a two-person mobile crew alongside a Crew Lead/Supervisor, traveling to customer locations to install, service, repair, and inspect automotive shop equipment. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, and takes pride in showing up prepared, on time, and ready to work each day. It is well-suited for someone looking to build a long-term career in a specialized, in-demand trade—not just another job.
This is a salaried position designed to account for extended work weeks common in mobile service and installation work, including travel and longer job days. This role is best suited for individuals seeking stability and long-term growth; it is not intended as a short-term or transitional position. Consistent attendance and reliability are critical in a small team where each member’s presence directly impacts daily operations.
Communication is a key part of this role. You will be expected to clearly and professionally interact with both team members and customers, explaining issues, providing updates, and maintaining positive relationships. Strong communication skills help ensure smooth operations and excellent customer experiences.

- Compensation: $40,800–$45,600 annually (depending on experience)
